Brunswick County Board of Commissioners votes to form new Small Business Advisory Commission
BOLIVIA, N.C. – The Brunswick County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to form a new Small Business Advisory Commission at its meeting on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and we created this commission to ensure that Brunswick County’s small business community has a strong voice,” said Commissioner Frank Williams, who drafted the proposal to create the commission. “A strong local economy must be built on private sector jobs, not government jobs. Government’s role is to foster an environment in which small businesses, entrepreneurs and family farmers can work hard, thrive and prosper.”
