The Home Stretch

Early voting for the Republican Primary begins tomorrow, and we are now in the home stretch of the primary campaign.

As I have talked with voters in communities all over Brunswick County, I am encouraged by the positive response I have received.  Everywhere, I go, the voters of Brunswick County are looking for a fresh face to represent them on the Board of Commissioners.  The people I’ve met seem genuinely interested in the election and are more than willing to share their concerns and ideas.  Hearing from the people is one of the reasons that retail politicking is so important, and it is the reason I have knocked on doors and held meet-and-greets throughout the county.

I plan to continue traveling throughout the county and meeting with citizens when I am elected.  It is important for public officials to be pro-active in listening to their constituents to find out what’s really on their mind.  As a County Commissioner, I will make a good faith effort to do just that.
