Thank You! Now, it’s on to November…

Friends,

THANK YOU!  I am humbled that the voters of Brunswick County have selected me as the Republican nominee for Brunswick County Commissioner from District 5.  You can view the election results by clicking here.

Yesterday’s victory was truly a team effort.  The fact that so many of you volunteered your time to stuff envelopes, put up signs (including our big 4′ x 8′ signs), walk neighborhoods and work the polls on my behalf is truly humbling.  Numerous people took yesterday off and worked all day, and my cousin Steve drove all the way from Clayton (in Johnston County) to work the polls.  Yesterday’s win would not have been possible without all of you.

I would like to thank my primary opponent, Don Yousey, for his willingness to run and to serve.  Running for office is a grueling, time-consuming process, and I respect the fact that he took time away from his family to seek this office.  Don and his family and other supporters conducted themselves with class throughout the campaign.  I have been a volunteer on numerous primary campaigns over the years, and this is one of the cases where I have gained respect for the opposition during the course of the campaign.

While we should take some time to celebrate yesterday’s primary victory, we must begin preparing for November.  I will face a Democrat opponent in the General Election, and we must work hard to ensure victory on November 6th. We cannot and must not take anything for granted.

Thank you again for your support and assistance.  We could not have done it without you.

Sincerely,

Frank Williams
