Jack Hawke’s Legacy

Former N.C. Republican Party Chairman Jack Hawke passed away on November 4th after a battle with cancer.  Jack was the NCGOP State Chairman when I was first getting involved with the party after college, and he has been a mainstay during my entire tenure of activism.  He leaves a tremendous legacy of service and leadership in North Carolina’s Republican Party.

The Home Stretch

Early voting for the Republican Primary begins tomorrow, and we are now in the home stretch of the primary campaign.

As I have talked with voters in communities all over Brunswick County, I am encouraged by the positive response I have received.  Everywhere, I go, the voters of Brunswick County are looking for a fresh face to represent them on the Board of Commissioners.  The people I’ve met seem genuinely interested in the election and are more than willing to share their concerns and ideas.  Hearing …

The Campaign Season Begins…

The filing period for the 2012 elections opens on Monday, and the campaign has now begun in earnest. 

Today started with a trip to Boiling Spring Lakes to attend their Republican precinct meeting.  After the precinct meeting I traveled to the county GOP headquarters for my campaign kickoff (catered by Bart’s BBQ — an excellent place for lunch!).  The BBQ attracted a crowd of nearly 60 people, in spite of the fact that there are numerous other events going on around the county today.  I am grateful to Brunswick …
